Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) president Ajoy Kumar today questioned the Union Governments silence on "poor performance" in eight core sectors.
Addressing a joint press conference with with former Union minister Subodh Kanth Sahay here, Kumar questioned why the Centre was silent over the "dismal performance" in the eight core sectors including coal, steel, natural resources, manufacturing, etc, which has slumped from 5.6 to 3.5 per cent.
The performance of these sector had kept increasing under UPA I and II, Kumar claimed while highlighting the "abysmal performance" of the Modi government in the Agriculture sector.
The JPCC chief claimed the construction sector, which has been providing maximum employment opportunities in the country, has recorded 2.7 per cent negative growth and so was the output of steel sector from 17.4 per cent to 8 per cent.
