Capital Shimla received 9.6 mm rain, and recorded maximum temperature at 23.9 degree Celsius, against 27.1 degree yesterday.
The maximum day temperature plummeted from 38.1 degree Celsius to to 28.6 deg C at Sundernagar, and at Bhuntar it fell from 35.7 deg C to 28.6 degree, a fall of nine degree and 14 degree respectively.
Dharamsala recorded a high of 22.6 deg C against 33.8 degree yesterday,
Kalpa in tribal Kinnaur district also recorded a high of 16.4 degree against 21.2 degree yesterday.
Una remained hottest in the region with maximum temperature at 38.8 deg C, a fall of four degrees. Kumarsen, Theog and Rajgarh were wettest in the region with 18 mm of rains, followed by Kandaghat 16 mm, Jubbarhatti, Karsog and Kufri 15 mm each.
Sujanpurtera recorded 12 mm, Rampur 10 mm, Kahu 9 mm, Kasauli 7 mm, Solan 6.6 mm, Dharmpur 6 mm and Mandi recorded 3.2 mm rain.

The minimum temperature further dropped to 12.1 degree in Shimla, 2.5 degree below normal for the first time past six weeks, while Manali and Bhuntar recorded a low 12.0 degree and 11.0 degree, 1.5 degree below normal.
Mandi was hottest during the night with a low of 26.8 degree while Una and Dharamsala recorded maximum temperatures at 25.6 degree and 22.6 degree, four to six degree above normal.
The local MeT office has predicted rains or thunderstorm at various places during across the state during next 24 hours.
