Widespread rains lower day temperatures in Himachal

The normal traffic was affected as sky remained heavily overcast and thick fog engulfed the region, reducing visibility.

Dharamsala recorded 67 mm of rain while Sujanpur Tira and Guler recorded 66 mm and 62 mm downpour.

The rains brought down the day temperature from 34.6 Deg C to 31 Deg C in Una, which was the hottest in the region while Shimla recorded a high of 21.2 Deg C against 23.6 Deg C yesterday.

Bhuntar recorded a maximum temperature of 29 Deg C while Sundernagar recorded a high of 28.5 Deg C, followed by Dharamsala 27.2 Deg C and Solan 26 Deg C.

 

The local MeT office has forecast more rains and thunder showers throughout the state during next 48 hours.
