Punjab Police today claimed to have solved an eight-day-old murder case of a widow by arresting her daughter and the latter's boyfriend here.
According to police, on January 21, a middle aged widow, identified as Rajinder Kaur, was found murdered at her residence after which police had registered a case against unidentified persons.
During the eight days long investigation, police succeeded to trace out the culprits behind the crime and the accused were identified as victim's daughter Inder Raj Kaur and the latter's boyfriend Ganesh Sharma, an official said.

Perturbed with her mother's decision, the daughter allegedly had hatched a conspiracy with the help of Ganesh who allegedly killed Rajinder Kaur by hitting her with a hard substance on her head besides strangulating her with an electric wire.
Police said that both the accused have confessed to their crime during investigation and now they were in police custody.
