Wife, 2 minor kids axed to death by man in Rajasthan

A 35-year-old man allegedly axed his wife and two minor children to death in Sriganganagar district here, police said today.

Accused Subhash, hit his wife Santosh and his two children -- Sneha (7) and Himanshu (5) -- with an axe leaving them dead on the spot last night in Sadulpur area. The incident came to light today, police said.

An argument broke out between Subhash and his wife over her suspected involvement in an extra-martial relationship after which the accused resorted to the extreme step, police said.

A case was registered against him and the accused has been arrested, police said, investigation is underway.
 

Meanwhile, body of a 35-year-old unidentified woman was recovered along a roadside on the outskirts of Tonk city, police said today.

The body bears injury marks upon her throat, the police said, adding they are investigating the matter.

In another case, an unidentified youth was found allegedly murdered near a water body here. Liquor bottles were recovered from the spot which indicates that the victim consumed alcohol before hitting his head with some heavy object, leaving him dead on the spot, the police said.

Efforts were on to ascertain their identities, police added.
