Facing opposition from her husband over her illicit relationship, a wife allegedly got him killed by her paramour and his accomplices here, police said today.

The police has arrested wife Shaba (30) and her lover Ashok Khurana (45) and Khurana's cousin Devender while servant Sonu and Khurana's friend Brijesh are still on the run.

Shaba and Jamal were married with each other. Shaba, who was working as a salesgirl in Khurana's shop, fell in love with him there. When Jamal came to know he asked Shaba to immediately quit her job, which she refused. The couple used to fight regularly over the issue.

On September 30, Khurana called Jamal from a fake sim card and asked him to meet him at Ghanta Ghar here. Jamal was taken to Panchgaon where he was murdered by Khurana and his friends. Jamal's body was thrown in the jungle and acid was thrown on his face to cover up his identity, Singh said.

Victim Jamal's brother Farhat lodged a missing complaint and expressed doubts over Khurana. Before the police could interrogate Khurana he switched off his cell phone. On Sunday, the police arrested Khurana from Punjab and on strict interrogation he confessed to his crime, SP Onkar Singh said.
