Virtually sending feelers to actor-politician Vijayakant's DMDK, DMK chief M Karunanidhi today said he will be happy if a front comprising of the two parties is formed for next year's Lok Sabha polls.

He was responding to queries by journalists on the reported remarks made by Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) chief Thol Thirumavalavan about DMK leading a front of parties including DMDK.

VCK is DMK's ally.

"That is indicative of his (Thirumalavan) good intentions. I will be happy if there is such an opportunity," Karunanidhi said.

DMDK had been an ally of Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK during the 2011 assembly elections in Tamil Nadu but had parted ways later.
