Noted Malayalam actor Innocent, the first film personality from Kerala to enter the lower house of Parliament, today said he would explore all avenues to ensure the release of the 1990's film 'Ambedkar', in which Mammootty has essayed the lead role.
"It is most unfortunate that the film has not yet been released though it was made in the 1990s. The Union Government had spent a lot of money to make it. People of the country have a right to know why it was not done despite so much money being spent," he said.
Speaking at a press meet at Thrissur Press Club, he said the main objective of making such a film was to promote art and artistes and added that he would try his best to ensure that the film gets released.
