Will provide uniform, shoes to students till class VIII: Yogi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said today that the state government will make efforts to provide school uniform, shoes, socks, bags and books to students till class eighth.

Adityanath said this at an event where he felicitated 147 meritorious students of the CBSE, ICSE and UP boards with the Rani Laxmibai Puraskar. The ceremony was held at Lok Bhawan here.

Each of the meritorious students was given a cheque of Rs one lakh, a tablet and certificate.

Apart from this, parents of the meritorious students and principals of seven schools, which produced toppers this year were also felicitated.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that state government will make efforts to make available school uniform, shoes, socks, bags and books to every student till class 8th.
 

"Uttar Pradesh has the capability of leading the entire nation. If India has to attain the heights of success, then that road passes through UP," Adityanath said.
