The Madras High Court today disposed of a petition seeking a direction to publish the results of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission exams which were held in November after recording submission of counsel for TNPSC that the results will be published within four months.

When the petition filed by B Karthik Raja of Madurai came up before Justice K.Kalyanasundaram, counsel submitted that the TNPSC will publish the results of the preliminary examination for Group-1 services within four months.

The petitioner submitted that the examinations for the present year were conducted for the Posts of Group -I service on November 8.

TNPSC which has the infrastructure facility and adequate machinery to evaluate the key answers and coding sheets can publish the results in a month. But normally it takes a long time to publish it, he submitted.

As the assembly elections for the state is scheduled to be held in May 2016, publishing results late will affect the career of the people in the age group of 35. If publication of results are dragged to months together, the situation would further aggravate, the petitioner submitted.
