The winter session of the Karnataka legislature will commence on November 13 at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in the border district of Belagavi, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister T B Jayachandra said today.
"It will be a 10 day session, starting from November 13," he told reporters here after a cabinet meeting.
The cabinet has also approved implementation of subsidised food canteens, the 'Indira Canteens' in all taluk and district headquarters of urban local bodies across the state from January 1.

Indira Canteens are already operational across Bengaluru and provide breakfast at Rs five and lunch and dinner for Rs 10.
Among the other decisions taken by the cabinet include establishing a police commissionerate at Kalburgi and the Mukhyamantri Anila Bhagya scheme, meant to provide free domestic gas connections to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families that will be launched formally in December.
On the Anila Bhagya scheme,Jayachandra said BPL families who have not got connections under the central government's Ujwala scheme will benefit.
They will be provided gas connections, two burner stoves and two refills, he said.
