Wipro celebrates "earthian program"

Software major Wipro today celebrated the fifth edition of its 'earthian program', which provides a platform for learning about sustainability in schools and colleges.

The 2015 edition of the annual Wipro earthian program received over 1,300 submissions from across the country, out of which ten schools and ten colleges have been selected as winners by an independent expert jury, the company said.
Exide Life Insurance launches health insurance Sanjeevani

IndiaFirst Life Insurance crosses AUM of Rs 10,000 cr * IndiaFirst Life Insurance, a JV between Bank of Baroda, Andhra Bank and Legal and General (UK), today said the company crossed Asset Under Management (AUM) of Rs 10,000 crore.

As on March 2016, 31, the company recorded AUM of Rs 9,061 crore, IndiaFirst Life said in a release.

"We have witnessed a growth of 43 per cent (y-o-y), achieving over Rs 1,000 crore of gross collected premium as on September 30, 2016. The current growth in retail (APE) business is 79 per cent, as on September 2016," company MD and CEO R M Vishakha said.
PNB MetLife launches interactive chatbot Dr Jeevan

* Private sector PNB MetLife today launched 'Dr Jeevan', an Artificial Intelligence powered interactive chatbot solution on Facebook Messenger platform.

"Dr Jeevan will help users know their health quotient, educate them on India's top two critical illnesses - Cancer and Heart, with interactive videos and provide personalized quotation for PNB MetLife Mera Heart and Cancer Care within the Facebook platform itself," PNB MetLife said in a statement.

One can interact with Dr Jeevan by visiting PNB MetLife's Facebook page and benefit from this service, available 24x7, it said.

Juno Clinic raises Rs 8 crore

* Mental health counselling start-up Juno Clinic today said it has raised Rs 8 crore from various sources including Edelweiss Securities President and CEO Vikas Khemani, among others, in Pre-Series A funding.

The firm has raised Rs 8 crore from Atul Nishar, founder of Hexaware Technologies and Aptech Computers, the family office of Sunita and Neeraj Bhargava, founder of Zodius Capital, Vikas Khemani President and CEO, Edelweiss Securities Ltd, and other individual investors as a part of a Pre-Series A fund raising round," the company said in a statement.

Commenting on the funding, co-founder Davesh Manocha said: "The company will use the funding proceeds to expand into both domestic and international markets online.
