Country's third largest software services firm Wipro today said it has partnered with Silicon Valley-based cybersecurity company Vectra Networks to offer an automated "threat hunting" platform to enterprises.

The Bengaluru-based company has also tied up with Israel- based IntSights Cyber Intelligence to bolster and expand its 'Threat Intelligence as-a-Service' offering.

Wipro offers its 'Threat Hunting as-a-Service' from its cyber defence centres, including Georgia and Texas in the US, Mississauga in Canada, Warsaw (Poland) and multiple centres in India.

"'Threat Hunting as-a-Service', which is part of Wipro's cyber defence platform, is key to our strategy to meet the cyber threat management demands of enterprises, worldwide," Wipro SVP and Global Head (Business Applications and Cybersecurity and Risk Services) Hiral Chandrana said.

Wipro will leverage Vectra's automated threat management platform, built with artificial intelligence-based on machine learning and behavioural analytics, to detect attacker behaviours and user anomalies in the network.

According to research firm Gartner, 60 per cent of enterprise information security budgets will be allocated to rapid detection and response approaches by 2020, up from less than 10 per cent in 2014.

Under its partnership with IntSights, Wipro will be able to provide end-to-end solution spanning intelligence gathering to threat mitigation and remediation.
