An alleged witch doctor couple were found murdered in Kasiadih village under Satbarwa police station in Palamau district, police said.
Bodies of Gaya Saw (55) and his wife Dukhni Devi (48) were recovered near a river today, Deputy Superintendent of Police, P R Burwar.
A group of unidentified persons abducted the couple last night and slit their throat, Burwar said.
Witchcraft was suspected to be the cause behind the killing as the couple was witch doctors, he said.
Police detained four persons in this connection for interrogation, he said, adding the bodies were sent for post-mortem.
