Wave World Kabaddi League, one of its kind international kabaddi League, today announced the roster of players for the first season and also implemented anti-doping programme in complaiance with World Anti-Dopiung Code.
Committed to fair play, Wave WKL has implemented anti-doping programme in the league in compliance with World Anti-Doping Code and its accompanying international standards. The players shall be subject to tests anytime and anywhere during the league period, a statement from the orgainsers said.
Commenting on the development, Commissioner of WKL Pargat Singh said: "Wave World Kabaddi league is committed to spirit of healthy and drugs free competition. As kabaddi is a highly combative sport, we are ensuring strict implementation of the anti-doping rules and regulations. Even during the tournament we will follow the random no advance notice and target testing."

The Governing Council of Wave WKL will be continuously educating players about the ills of doping and banned drugs during the matches. The literature shared with the players will be multilingual.
Wave WKL is set to kick off from August 9 and will see various national and international kabaddi players in action across eight franchisees.
The league will follow the Formula 1 style touring sports format and will be played across three continents. With 86 matches, the first season will be played on weekends.
