A 27-year-old woman along with her two minor children were burnt alive today allegedly by her husband and in-laws who were demanding dowry since the marriage in Rampur area here.
Pinki Singh, son Rudra Pratap (6) and daughter Jhanvi (3 months) died of severe burn injuries this afternoon, Superintendent of Police Bharat Singh said.
An FIR has been registered against Pinki's husband Vikas Singh, his mother and sister on the basis of a complaint filed by the mother of Pinki, the officer said.
Pinki's mother reached Aswan village after the incident and approached the police alleging that the woman was being harassed for dowry by her husband and in-laws since the marriage.
