A 60-year-old woman here died after she allegedly jumped into the Ganga canal in Atratenpuri village of the district, police said today.
The woman was later rushed to the hospital where she was declared "brought dead" by the doctors, they said.
The identity of the woman is yet to be ascertained, police said, adding that the body has been sent for post-mortem.
The woman was apparently worried over some issue, police said.
