Mother of a DIG level police officer today lodged a complaint with the police that her son has assaulted her.
Additional Commissioner of Police, Bidhan Nagar Commissionerate, Debashis Dhar said DIG (Border) Anirban Roy's mother Rebeka Roy lodged the complaint with Bidhan Nagar North police station in North 24 Parganas district.
The woman went to a hospital following the assault and lodged the complaint after returning from there.
Dhar said a case has been initiated in connection with the complaint and investigation was on.
