The case of a 20-year-old woman who was allegedly raped at Gavicharla village of Sangem mandal in Warangal district on Friday came to light on Sunday, police sources said here today.
According to police sources, Ravula Venu, a resident of Gavicharla allegedly raped the 20-year-old women at her residence on Friday.
He threatened her that he would kill her if she revealed the incident to anybody.
On Saturday morning, the victim revealed the incident to her husband and parents.
The parents complained to the Mamnoor police inspector who registered a case against the accused under the Nirbhaya Act.
A manhunt is on to trace the culprit, the police inspector said.
