Woman alleges rape in Haryana

A woman here has alleged that she was raped by a man and his friends, too, tried to sexually assault her at a secluded place, police said today.

The woman in a complaint to police alleged that she had yesterday gone to a nearby shop when an acquaintance, Abhishek Bhati, and his friend Balram asked her to join them on a motorcycle ride, to which she agreed.

They were joined by another man, Tirangi, midway. They reached a secluded place were Tirangi raped the woman and the two others made an attempt to rape her, they said.

Police have registered a case against the three and a probe is on into the matter.

Refuting the charges, Dr MP Rathore of Jamunadevi

hospital said the hospital does not have ICU facility and, therefore, the woman was not admitted there.

"The woman was brought to the hospital at around 11 AM on Monday (September 19) and after ultrasound it was confirmed that foetus in her womb had died. She was in need of blood and we had asked her husband to arrange it urgently," said Rathore.

"They went and again came at around 8 PM and till then her condition had worsened," claimed the doctor.

"As there is no ICU facility at the hospital, she was not admitted," he said terming the allegations levelled by Gulabdas as "false" and "baseless".
