Woman alleges rape on marriage pretext

A 35-year-old-year woman was allegedly raped by a youth on the pretext of marriage repeatedly for one year near Amber here, police said.

According to an FIR filed by the woman with the Amber Thana yesterday, 25-year-old Ashok Shrivastav, working in a private company in Industrial area here, lured her and allegedly raped her in last one year on the pretext of marriage, police said.

Medical examination of the victim has been done at a government hospital here, police said, adding, the accused has been booked under section 376 (rape) of IPC and the search is on to nab him.
 

The antecedents of the woman, who belonged to a different community, was also being verified as she was reportedly accused in a PITA (Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act) case, they said.
