Woman among five booked for operating job racket in Jammu

Jammu and Kashmir's crime branch today booked five persons, including a woman, for cheating several youths on the pretext of giving them jobs.

Following a complaint by Ajit Singh of Rajouri district,a case has been registered against Rattan Lal, Surinder Kumar, Ghulam Mohammad, Nazir Ahmed Malik, and Pinky Devi, a crime branch spokesman said.

According to the complaint, Nazir Ahmed Malik, posing as a Superintendent of Police posted at the police headquarters, met the complainant at Anand Nagar in Jammu and assured him a job in the Police Department, along with Rattan Lal.

They also asked him to deposit some money in bank accounts of Nazir Ahmed, Rattan Lal and Pinky Devi. But after the money was deposited they could not be contacted, the complainant said.
 

During investigation, police found that the accused had duped several other youths on the same way.
