Woman among four held for duping unemployed youths

Based on a complaint filed by a private school teacher, police launched a probe and arrested the quartet yesterday, city Police Commissioner J Poornachandra Rao told reporters here.

According to Rao, the arrested woman P Neha Sajith, is the main accused in the case and had posed as a manager in the Indian Railways. The two other accused are Armed Reserve constables- B Surya Prakasha Rao and K Srinivasa Rao--- who worked in Visakhapatnam rural district, while another accused K Satyanarayana worked at the police training college.

They had duped around 40 youths and collected Rs 40 lakh from them, police said.

 

Police have recovered Rs three lakh cash, around 18 tolas of gold ornaments, two cars, seven mobile phones and several railway application forms from the woman accused and Rs 90,000 cash collectively from three others.
