Goa crime branch today arrested a woman and a Jharkhand-based man for their alleged involvement in the murder of a man.

The accused Divya Dattaguru Sinari and her driver Kishor Manto were arrested in connection with the murder of a roadside vendor Ratan Carole, whose mutilated body had been found at Shapora river last month.

"The arrests were made today for helping the accused - Sinari brothers -- in destroying the evidence," said superintendent of police (Crime Branch) Karthik Kashyap.

Carole had gone missing from the village of Amona from December 17, 2015 onwards and the body was found ten days later.

Police said the weapons used in executing Carole was hidden behind the house of Sinari brothers, which were recovered by police today.
