Two Naxals, including a woman, who was carrying a cash reward on her head, were today arrested in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district during a joint operation by CRPF and local police.
A composite squad of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and district force nabbed the cadres during a search operation in the interior forests under Gadiras Police Station area, around 400 km from here, a senior police official said.
Those arrested have been identified as Rawwa Nande (35), head of Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan - a front of the Maoists, and Kawasi Masa (28), he said.
Nande was carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 on her head, the official said, adding they were involved in damaging roads, putting up Naxal banners, posters and attacking police teams.
