A woman and her daughter lost their lives after coming into contact with a live electric wire in Muzaffarpur district today.
The incident happened at Kanti village and the deceased have been identified as Khushbu (25) and her daughter Arti (2), police said.
"Both the deceased were entering their house at ward number 8 of the village. It was raining and a naked electric wire was dangling at the door. They came into contact with it and were electrocuted to death," said Kanti SHO Nand Kishore Singh.
The bodies have been sent to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
