arrested for allegedly duping an auto rickshaw driver and his sister by claiming to get them "poverty" donation of Rs 9.5 lakh from abroad, police said.
Amina Khan told auto rickshaw driver Kailash Mangani and his sister on June 19 that she could get them donation from abroad as they were poor, DCP (North) Mahendra Singh said.
She then asked them to give her Rs 9,500 as expense to convert the curreny from dollar to rupee, the DCP said.
On receiving the money, she disappeared, following which Mangani registered FIR against her, Singh said.
"After her identification, she was arrested today by a police team. She is being interrogated," he said.
He said the matter was being probed to find out whether she had cheated other people.
