A 30-year-old married woman tried to commit suicide by consuming poison after allegedly being sexually harassed by two youths at Sehat village in Shamli district, police said.
Shila tried to commit suicide by consuming poison yesterday allegedly after two youths sexually harassed her in house on Wednesday, they said.
She was admitted to a local hospital police said, adding a case has been registered against the two accused and hunt is on to nab them.
Meanwhile, a 26-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide over family dispute by immolating herself at Hasanpura village in this district yesterday, police said.
The body of the victim identified as Anita has been sent for post mortem, police said adding investigation is underway.
