At least 150 houses were reduced to ashes in the fire in Chetu Ka Purva and Karsuma villages last night.
Savitri, who was trying to rescue her belongings was perished in the blaze, police said.
Five fire tenders struggled for hours to control the blaze.
Around 70 houses were gutted in Chetu Ka Purva where fire in a garbage dump spread due to winds, whereas, in Karsuma village a spark from an earthen stove led to the major fire engulfing over 80 houses.
