A 26-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide after poisoning her two children following a quarrel with her husband at Narayanpur Kheri in the district in Bihar, police said today.
Sobha Devi (26) consumed pesticide after feeding the same to her two children - Richa Kumari (3) and Sujit Kumar (1) last night.
"Sobha's mother was seriously ill and she wanted to go and meet her. The issue led to a fight with her husband Amarjeet Das last night as he along with his other family members did not allow her to go. The woman took the extreme step afterwards," police officials said.
All three died in sleep and their bodies were recovered this morning, they said.
