Woman commits suicide, parents allege dowry harassment

The incident was reported from Karawal Nagar last evening and the deceased has been identified as Nitu Sharma. She was found hanging by her father-in-law in their house.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.

No suicide note was recovered from the spot but police suspect it to be a case of dowry harassment.

Her parents have also alleged that she was harassed for dowry.

An inquiry by the Sub Divisional Magistrate inquiry has been ordered.

"We are questioning the husband," a senior police official said.
