Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) P K Ghosh said today that the complaint was lodged yesterday with the Chetla police station by the woman that she was allegedly raped on June 18 by the owner of the house at Alipore where she was staying as a paying guest.
Ghosh said that the house-owner was absconding.
