Woman covers 1,700 km on motorbike to visit Shirdi shrine

A 49-year-old woman covered a mammoth distance of 1,700 km on her motorcycle to visit the famous Saibaba shrine here.

Vaishali More, a retired teacher and a resident of Visakhaptnam, Andhra Pradesh, started her journey on July 13.

More, who took halts at Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Gulberga, Pune, was joined by two Pune-based riders Anagha Sant and Sonal Bhat. The trio reached the town yesterday.

More said it was her dream to visit the shrine.

She visited the shrine today at the beginning of the three-day long 'Guru Pournima' festival.
