Woman CRPF constable dies in bike accident

A 22-year-old woman constable of Central Reserve Police Force was killed while her colleague was injured when a motorcycle they were riding slipped last night, police said.

The incident took place around 8:30 PM in CRPF's Jharoda Kalan campus in South West Delhi.

The deceased has been identified as Anamika while the pillion rider, identified as constable Jyoti received minor injuries in the accident.

Police was informed about the accident by the authorities of CRPF Camp Hospital around 9 PM.

When a police team reached the hospital, they were told that the accident took place near VIP Hut in the CRPF campus.
 

As Anamika's condition deteriorated she was referred to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Police has recovered the motorcycle from the spot, but no eyewitnesses were found. A case of rash driving and causing death by negligence has been registered at Baba Haridas Nagar police station and investigations are on, they said.
