A woman and her minor daughter died under mysterious circumstances in Hadpur Saudh village in Fatanpur area here with her family alleging that she was killed for dowry, police said today.
Seeta (30) and her daughter Mansi (5) were admitted to the hospital in an unconscious state yesterday and they were declared dead by doctors, police said.
Seeta's father, Rajaram Yadav alleged that her in-laws used to demand dowry and they had poisoned them both.
Probe is underway and the postmortem report is awaited, police said, adding, no arrests have so far been made in this connection.
