Unable to bear the death of her husband three months ago, a 36-year-old woman and her minor daughter allegedly committed suicide in this district today, police said.
Sankari and her daughter Hemapriya were found hanging in their house in Vasudevanallur by the woman's mother this morning.
According to police, Sankari's husband Baburaj fell sick and died three months ago.
The family had performed rituals for Baburaj at a local temple yesterday.
