A 23-year-old married woman, who was brutally beaten up by robbers last night, succumbed to her injuries today at a private hospital here, police said.

Some unidentified robbers had barged into Anjali's mother's house in Nistauli village in Sahibabad area at around 1.30 am and thrashed her brutally, before fleeing with booty, police said.

Robbers also inflicted injuries to her mother Mundresh, a widow, and sisters Preeti(18) and Antim(12) and brother sekhar (10), they said.

On hearing the screams of family members, the neighbours rushed to the spot and called up the police, an official said.

Sahibabad police station Inspector Upendra Yadav said the modus operandi of dacoits is much similar to that of 'Bavaria gang'. As per their prior history, the 'Bavaria gang' is active during rainy seasons.

Senior Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Yadav said experts are drawing sketches of the culprits. Two teams of police sleuths from Crime Branch and Forensic Science Experts have been deputed to nab the criminals, Yadav said.
