In a tragic incident, a woman died after falling into a well from a tree while trying to collect a kite for her daughter, police said today. Manisha Vijay Pawar (20), a widow, lived at a farm in CIDCO's Shivaji Chowk locality with her two-year-old daughter and mother, they said.
Yesterday, her daughter was flying a kite which got entangled on a tree.
Manisha climbed the tree to get the kite for her daughter, but lost her balance and fell from it into the well, police said.
Fire brigade personnel rushed to the site and tried to save the woman, but in vain, they said.
After the post mortem in Nashik civil hospital, the body was handed over to the deceased's mother, they added.
