A 22-year-old woman died while her three-year-old daughter is battling for life after she jumped in front of a train near Baroda village here, police said today.
Rama Devi succumbed to here injuries on way to K D hospital last night, while her daughter Anjali, admitted to the same hospital, is fighting for life, they said.
The woman's father has filed an FIR against the former's husband and in-laws, alleging they were demanding an "extra dowry in the form of a motorbike and Rs 1 lakh", police said.
The body has been sent for postmortem, they added.
