A 35-year-old woman died allegedly due to lack of treatment in the district hospital here following which the administration has sought clarification from the doctor who was on duty and did not attend her.
Family members of Kaushalya Devi, admitted to the hospital with breathing problem on November 30, have complained to the chief medical officer KP Garg that the doctor on duty failed to turn up to attend to her when her condition deteriorated on the night of November 30 despite repeated calls and she died for want of medical aid.
The family members who also rushed to the doctor's house to call him but to no avail, later demonstrated at the hospital and his residence.

The report would be forwarded to the government for taking action if found necessary, the CMO said.
