A 30-year-old woman died of electric shock in Nowshera area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir today.
Amarjeet Kour, a resident of Kanara village in the Nowshera Tehsil, died due to electric shock, as there was some electric breakdown in her area, a police officer said.
The electric breakdown also caused damage to the electrical gadgets and appliances in several houses and religious places in the area, he said.
Expressing shock over the loss of life and property due to the incident, Ravinder Sharma, the chief spokesperson of Congress demanded immediate compensation for the family of the deceased lady.
