A woman has died in a nursing home here while giving birth, following which her husband shot at a woman doctor there alleging the death took place due to her negligence, police said today.
Wife of one Babuddin (32) died on Friday while giving birth at a nursing home on Fazalpur street at Rohta Road.
On Saturday after performing her last rites, the husband, a resident of Muralipur village, came to the nursing home and shot at Munesh Tomar, a doctor there, with a country-made pistol, they said.
The shot hit her in the hand but hearing the racket, the nursing home staff gathered at the spot and beat up Babuddin.
While the injured woman doctor has been admitted to the same nursing home, Babuddin has been admitted to a different hospital, they said, adding an FIR each has been lodged from both the sides and investigation is on in the case.
