Chinese police in southwest Yunnan Province detained a woman drug trafficker from Myanmar and confiscated 14.9 kilograms of heroin.
The suspect was caught carrying 29 packages of heroin while crossing the China-Myanmar border in Gengma county in the city of Lincang yesterday, a spokesman with the Lincang Public Security Bureau said.
The 32-year-old suspect confessed that she brought drugs across the border before being caught, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
