The woman, who made a confidential statement under section 164 of CrPC before an Alipore SDJM court, alleged that Bapi Karim had stayed with her for two years promising to marry her, but did not honour the promise.
The woman has filed an FIR against Karim at Garfa police station, alleging also that Karim had duped her of Rs 60 lakh.
She claimed that Karim had emotionally blackmailed her into giving away the money with which she claimed he had bought a luxury SUV and land.
Transport minister Madan Mitra denied that Karim was ever his confidential assistant and said "it is a false claim."
"His brother Bablu had come to me once or twice, but after learning of complaints against him of misbehaviour with people, I had given written orders in November that Bablu not be allowed to enter my office," Mitra told newspersons at the state secretariat.
