Woman files complaint of rape, extortion against 11 people

A 31-year-old woman filed a complaint of rape and extortion against two brothers and nine of their relatives at a women's police station here.

Acting on her complaint, police arrested four accused, including two brothers who raped her for 11 years and made video clips to blackmail her, the ACP of the women's police station Kanan Desai said.

The accused who were arrested today include Nasir Khan Pathan, Shaukat Pathan, Shubdar Pathan and Jahangir Pathan, who are all brothers living in Mirzapur area of the city, the police official said.

"Out of these four, the woman alleged that Nasir and Shaukat raped her between 2004 till March 2015 at various places in the city, while Shubdar and Jahangir allegedly made video clips and blackmailed her. They also forced her to remain silent by threatening her," Desai said.
 

In her complaint, the woman alleged that Nasir and Shaukat raped her several times while their friends and family members allegedly extorted Rs 15 lakh from her by threatening to circulate her video clips.

"Out of the total eleven accused, we have arrested four. Our investigation revealed that they are real estate developers. We will arrest the rest soon," Desai said.
