A woman here today foiled a robbery bid at her house but got injured when the intruder allegedly fired at her, police said.
Two intruders barged into the house of doctor D P Singh in the wee hours today. When the doctor's wife Anita heard the barking sound of their dog, she came out and saw the two intruders inside the boundary wall of the house, City Superintendent of Police Ajay Pal Sharma said.
The woman caught hold one of them and raised an alarm. In his attempt to free himself, the robber fired at her, injuring her in the right forearm following which the duo fled from the spot, he said.

"Based upon their modus-operandi, two police teams have been deputed to trace the intruders and the duo will be nabbed soon," the SP said.
