A 26-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bazaria area here, police said today.
Shabana Khan, a resident of Zafrabad, was found hanging from a ceiling fan yesterday under suspicious circumstances, they said.
Police today arrested the victim's husband Sameer and mother-in-law Saira Khan following a complaint registered by her father.
According to Sameer, who runs a medical shop, Shabana's body was discovered by his cousin sister yesterday who came to meet her when no other members of the family were present at home.
The body was sent for post mortem yesterday to ascertain the cause of the death, they said, adding that Shabana was married to Sameer since four years.
