A 22-year-old woman allegedly
hanged herself at her residence in west Delhi's Om Vihar locality today.
The woman was daughter of a Delhi Police woman constable and lived with her parents at Om Vihar locality in west Delhi's Uttam Nagar area, said police.

The incident came to light this evening when her father, who works at a private enterprise, returned home and found the door locked. He sensed that something was wrong and informed his wife, said police.
Later, they broke inside and discovered their daughter's body hanging with a stole, following which they called up the police control room and reported the matter, said police.
No suicide note was recovered from the spot. An inquest has been taken up and relatives of the woman are being questioned to ascertain why she took the extreme step, police added.
