The woman was forcibly kept in confinement at the village where she was brought by her alleged abductors, they said, adding that she was unable to contact her family in Darjeeling as her phone was taken away.

When the abductors demanded Rs 10,000 from the woman's family for releasing her, an NGO contacted the newly created anti-human trafficking cell of CBI.

Based on the NGO's complaint, the CBI team tracked location of the alleged abductors through phone surveillance. A team of CBI officials then carried out searches at the village near Dwarka and found the woman, the sources said.

Further details were not provided as investigations are continuing and alleged offenders are being pursued by the agency.
