A woman from Delhi was killed and one of her friends injured when the car they were travelling in turned turtle after its tyre punctured in Murthal of Haryana, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday when the woman, identified as Neha, aged about 21 years, and her three male friends were on their way to Murthal in Sonepat district, to have dinner as part of Christmas celebration, SHO of Murthal police station, Inspector Ajay Kumar said.
While Neha was killed in the mishap, one of her friends was injured, he said.
On the woman's family allegedly suspecting foul play in her death, the SHO said, "If during the probe such a thing comes to fore, we will then proceed as per the law".
